Coolant Level Check – Step by Step Guide to Prevent Engine Overheating

      Introduction

Hello friends, welcome to Rajesh Technical Blog.
Today I will tell you about coolant level check step by step and why it is important for your vehicle engine.

Engine coolant keeps the engine temperature under control.
If coolant level becomes low, your engine may overheat and cause serious damage.

Modern vehicles like Mahindra Scorpio, Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Swift require proper coolant maintenance for long engine life.

🚨 Signs of Low Coolant Level

  • Engine temperature warning light ON
  • White smoke from bonnet
  • Heater not working properly
  • Coolant leakage under car
  • Frequent overheating

If you notice these signs, check coolant immediately.

🔧 Coolant Level Check Step by Step

⚠ Always check coolant when engine is completely cool.

1️⃣ Park Vehicle on Level Ground

Ensure car is parked safely on flat surface.

2️⃣ Open Bonnet Carefully

Locate coolant reservoir tank (usually transparent plastic tank).

You will see MIN and MAX level markings.

3️⃣ Check Coolant Level

If coolant is:

✔ Between MIN and MAX → Normal
❌ Below MIN → Refill required
❌ Empty → Possible leakage problem

4️⃣ Refill Coolant Properly

Never use plain water permanently.

Use recommended engine coolant.
