Everything explained in a simple English format.

1. TVS XL 100 Engine Repair Guide

1. Check Engine Oil Level

Low engine oil can cause:

  • Power loss
  • Knocking sound
  • Overheating
Make sure oil is filled up to the mark.

2. Clean Air Filter

Dust reduces air flow and mileage.
Clean the sponge filter every 1000 km.

3. Spark Plug Cleaning

Remove the spark plug → clean carbon → keep 0.7 mm gap.
If bike is not starting, spark plug is the first thing to check.

4. Check Compression

Low compression = hard starting + low pickup.
If compression is weak, replace piston rings.

3. TVS XL 100 Fuel System Repair

1. Carburetor Cleaning

If the bike:

  • gives low mileage
  • stops suddenly
  • does not pick up

then clean the carburetor jets properly.

2. Check Fuel Pipe

Replace cracked pipe.
Ensure proper petrol flow.

3. Check Fuel Filter

A clogged filter blocks petrol supply.
Change every 6 months.

4. Drive Belt, Clutch & Transmission Repair

TVS XL 100 runs on belt drive system.

Common Problems:

  • Slow pickup
  • Bike not moving fast
