  1. Inflate tyre slowly to a low pressure (10–15 psi) and check that the bead is seating evenly all around the rim. Use soapy water spray to help beads seat.
  2. Once the bead is evenly seated, inflate to the recommended pressure (check tyre sidewall or owner’s manual). Typical ranges vary: 28–36 psi for many commuter bikes — check exact spec for your bike.
  3. Spin the wheel and check for bulges, wobbles, or uneven seating. If any, deflate and reposition the bead.

Step 6 — Refit Wheel & Final Checks

  1. Refit the wheel on the bike, ensure axle is tightened to torque spec or firmly secured.
  2. Reconnect brakes and ensure they function correctly. Adjust chain tension if rear wheel.
  3. Check tyre pressure once more after fitting (cold tyre).
