Wiring Connection Ideas — Step by Step (Full Guide for Honda Bikes 2026)

     Introduction

Hello friends, welcome to Rajesh Technical Giyan.

Today, I will explain Honda bike wiring connection step by step in a very simple and practical way.

If your bike has issues like:

  • Headlight not working
  • Indicators not blinking
  • Horn weak or not working
  • Wiring short circuit

Then this complete guide will help you fix most problems at home.

This is a beginner-friendly + real mechanic experience-based guide.

1. Understanding Honda Bike Wiring Color Codes

Before doing any wiring work, you must understand the standard Honda wire color system.

  • Black → Power supply (Ignition ON)
  • Green → Ground / Negative
  • Blue/White → High Beam
  • White → Low Beam
  • Yellow → Charging Coil Output
  • Brown → Tail / Parking Light
  • Orange → Left Indicator
  • Light Blue → Right Indicator
  • Green/Yellow → Brake Switch
  • Pink → Fuel Meter

👉 These color codes are commonly used in models like Shine, SP125, Unicorn, Dream Yuga, and older Activa models.

2. Headlight Wiring Connection (Step by Step)

If your headlight is not working properly, follow this:

Step 1:
Take Black wire from ignition (12V power).

Step 2:
Connect it to the headlight switch input.

Step 3:
From switch:

  • White → Low Beam
  • Blue/White → High Beam

Step 4:
Connect Green wire (negative) to the bulb holder.

👉 Now both high and low beam should work properly.

3. Indicator Wiring Connection (Left & Right)

Indicator issues are very common.

Step 1:
Find the flasher relay.

Step 2:
Relay wiring:

  • Black → Power
  • Gray → Output

Step 3:
From Gray wire:

  • Orange → Left Indicator
  • Light Blue → Right Indicator

Step 4:
All indicators connect to Green (ground).

👉 Now indicators will blink normally.

4. Tail Light & Brake Light Connection

Tail Light:

  • Brown → Positive
  • Green → Ground

Brake Light:

  • Green/Yellow → Brake switch
  • Output → Bright bulb line

👉 When brake is pressed, light becomes brighter.

5. Horn Wiring Connection

Step 1:
Black wire gives 12V power to horn.

Step 2:
Horn switch connects Green (ground).

👉 Circuit complete → Horn works.

6. Parking / Pilot Light Connection

  • Brown → Power
  • Green → Negative

👉 Works even without engine start (parking mode).

7. Battery Charging System (Very Important)

Charging problem = battery dead.

Step 1:
Engine stator gives Yellow wires.

Step 2:
Goes to rectifier/regulator.

Step 3:
Output:

  • Red → Battery Positive
  • Green → Battery Negative

👉 If rectifier is good, battery charges properly.

8. Simple Honda Wiring Flow (Easy Understanding)

  • Battery (+) → Fuse → Black → Switch → Components
  • Battery (-) → Green → All parts
  • Yellow → Rectifier → Red → Charging
